11 Simple Holiday Cocktails
Choose one of these 11 simple holiday cocktails to put the finishing touch on any celebration from Thanksgiving to New Years – without adding to your stress!
So, I love cocktails. Or, should I say, I love the idea of cocktails. Because, when it comes right down to it, I’m usually pretty tired (see: toddler, day job, etc.) and don’t have it in me to mix up a zillion ingredients. Also, when entertaining, I usually am also trying to wrangle said toddler, finish up things in the kitchen, and/or just relax and greet my guests like a normal human instead of an insane chicken, and therefore don’t really have the bandwidth to pour or mix elaborate drinks.
Thus, my hunt for a collection of SIMPLE cocktails to spice up the holidays. We’re talking drinks so inviting and delicious, you, your family, and guests will be completely smitten… yet you can actually make them with just a few ingredients and minimal time/effort.
I know I’ll be turning to this collection again and again all season long. Let’s dive in!
11 Simple Holiday Cocktails
1. Five Ingredient White SangriaÂ
With pear, orange, and cranberries, this drink makes the most of the season’s best citrus and fruit. And, I just love that you can mix up a large pitcher and not have to worry about mixing individual drinks! (From Seasonal Cravings)
2. Champagne Sangria with Pineapple and BerriesÂ
I absolutely love the simple approach here. Soak berries in triple sec, add champagne and juice, stir, and enjoy! The ultimate festive drink that doesn’t stress you out! (From Fried Dandelions)
3. Warm Cranberry Apple Hard Cider
So easy to throw everything in a big pot and let it simmer away. I’ll be craving a mug of this warm drink by the fire on the first really chilly winter day! (From Taste and See)Â
4. Gingersnap White Russian
Once you make the gingersnap syrup, this is a snap (ha!) to put together, and come on, just look at that gorgeous swirl! A thing of beauty is a joy forever. 🙂 (From Meg Is Well)Â
5. The Salty IrishmanÂ
Two of my favorite things are coffee and cocktails, so when you combine them, you definitely have my attention! But adding caramel and hazelnut!? I’ll be RIGHT OVER! (From Food Above Gold)Â
6. Rosé French 75Â
If you’re trying to impress, rosé, gin, and simple syrup combine to make a perfectly classic and festive cocktail, while still keeping things on the simple side. Fresh raspberries for garnish put it over the top! (From Nomageddon)Â

7. Sparkling Cider SangriaÂ
Another fantastic sangria! This one could be non-alcoholic, if you used a non-alcoholic cider, making it a lovely option for a family party or event. If this is on the menu, I definitely want to stop by Chellie’s house this Christmas Eve! (From Art From My Table)
8. Apple Cider Kentucky SunriseÂ
A southern apple cider twist on a tequila sunrise!? Yes please! And what an incredibly beautiful color. (From Champagne Tastes)
9. Rosemary Citrus Old FashionedÂ
I love just about anything with rosemary, and this cocktail is no exception. With whiskey, orange, and a dash of bitters, this just sounds perfect for greeting brisk weather! (From Urban Bliss Life)
10. Bourbon Milk PunchÂ
Bourbon infused with warm cinnamon and nutmeg, shaken with icy cold milk? This is one drink that is well worth breaking out the cocktail shaker! (From WanderSpice)
11. Cranberry Apple Cider Moscow Mule
I kind of want to buy some copper mugs just so I can emulate these eye-popping moscow mules with cranberry, lime, vodka, apple cider, and ginger beer. Your holiday guests would be so impressed with these! (From Coffee and Crayons)
12. Kir Royale
OK, I fibbed – there are 12! I chose 11 favorites from around the web, and then realized I’d be remiss not to add one of my very own favorites, and the simplest cocktail of all – the 2-ingredient Kir Royale!
So, which are you most excited to try this holiday season!? Will you make it for guests, or just for some well-deserved relaxation after a long day of hustle? Either way… bottom’s up! ♥
